Alabama Slammer
Do you love the sweet, fruity taste of Hawaiian Punch? Do you also wish that same Hawaiian Punch could knock you out after one glass? Then you’re looking for an Alabama slammer. I make these strong, at least compared to most recipes.
Drink slowly, and have them with food. Don’t ask me how I know. And for goodness sake, don’t use a straw. Or don’t listen. I’m not your mother. Just don’t get upset with me when the sunlight hurts the next day.
An Alabama slammer is a shaken cocktail, so be sure to use ice both in the shaker and have the glass ready with fresh ice. If you don’t have a fancy cocktail strainer that fits over the rim of the shaker, then you can use a fine mesh sieve instead.
The amounts of liquor in the recipe card can definitely be modified. I like the flavors of the booze a lot, so I used my ratios. Feel free to play around with different amounts, especially if you don’t want it to be so strong, or if you want to highlight a particular liquor.
Enjoy responsibly!
