Summer S’mores Board
Everyone gets to build their own treat from this fully loaded summer s’mores board! Choose from different graham crackers, chocolate squares, or forget the chocolate altogether and sub in a few fruit slices. I also included the recipes for both my favorite oven baked s’mores dip and a quick s’mores snack mix!
Endless possibilities!
I like making boards in general, but this is one of my favorites. Watching kids make stuff is the best because they always come up with the best combinations. Last year, one of the girl’s classmates made a s’more out of two fudge stripe cookies, a burnt marshmallow and some banana slices.
And I am telling you, it worked really well together. That’s the beauty of this summer s’mores board. Even in a small way, it gets the creativity flowing.
And for anyone who doesn’t want to have a full s’more? I always include some things to dip and more things to dip into. Not only does the peanut butter add something extra to a s’more, but it’s great for dipping those pretzel chips or the cinnamon graham Scooby snacks!
Speaking of dips, you’re going to love the oven baked s’mores dip, too. Again, it’s a really easy option to put out there for people who don’t want to roast a marshmallow. Let them grab a graham square and dive into the gooey, melted chocolatey marshmallow dip. OMG it’s so so good.
Finally, it’s even easier to set out a bowl of s’mores snack mix. I almost didn’t put it in the recipe card because it’s so simple, but it’s in there anyways π Great for smaller kids!
Fun combinations!
- Chocolate grahams + sliced strawberries + dark chocolate + marshmallow = chocolate covered strawberry
- Honey grahams + peanut butter + marshmallow = fluffernutter sandwich
- Honey grahams + milk chocolate + bananas + marshmallow = chunky monkey
You could also include some canned or homemade frosting as an alternative to the peanut butter, but ultimately, this summer s’mores board setup has got you covered!

- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Cook Time: 5 minutes
- Total Time: 10 minutes
- Yield: 12 servings of dip 1x
- Category: Snacks, Dessert
- Method: Oven
- Cuisine: American
Description
These easy snacks come together lightning fast with almost no prep. Great for anyone who doesn’t want an entire s’more to themselves!
Ingredients
For the oven baked s’mores dip:
- Four (1.55 oz) milk chocolate bars (I used standard sized Hershey bars)
- 25–30 standard sized marshmallows
For the s’mores snack mix:
- 2 cups graham cracker cereal (I used Golden Grahams)
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 2 cups semi sweet or milk chocolate chips
Instructions
To make the dip;
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees and butter a square baking dish (I used an 8 x 8).
- Break the chocolate bars as needed and arrange them in a few layers over the bottom of the baking dish.
- Layer the marshmallows on top of the chocolate, keeping the round ends facing up. You may need more marshmallows, depending on how tightly you pack them, but you won’t need more than one bag.
- Once the oven is preheated, bake the chocolate and marshmallows for 5-6 minutes, or until the marshmallows are deep golden brown on top.
- If desired, use a kitchen torch or lighter to carefully burn the tops of the marshmallows. Do not allow the fire to spread outside of the baking dish.
To make the snack mix:
- Combine the graham cracker cereal, mini marshmallows and chocolate chips in a large bowl. Toss to combine and serve!
